Policies

The Paddle N’ Party employee is in charge at all times and will enforce the following policies. It is also the responsibility of the person who reserved the equipment to follow safety protocols to maintain a fun and safe experience on the water.
Alcohol is not allowed on the equipment. Feel free to bring any other non-alcoholic beverage to quench your thirst after some good paddling. If you show up intoxicated, our employee will not allow you on the equipment and you will not receive a refund.
*Note: access to any dock that is not a designated Paddle N’ Party dock is not allowed at any time. Dock space is paid for by private citizens and are not accessible to the public.
In order to stay safe while paddling, we ask all of our riders to read up on the rules of the water ways that will be used (CT River, Streams, Brooks). Please stay near shore at all times and out of the way motorized watercraft. Please avoid crossing the river. Please do not exit your vessel at any time while in open water.
Our employee will go over the rules before loading you and your party onto the bikes. These rules are in place to keep you and everyone else on the waterways safe.
- The maximum weight per individual rider cannot exceed 300 pounds on the Hydro Bikes.
- The maximum weight per individual rider on the single kayaks & paddle-boards is between 270-330 pounds.
- The maximum weight for tandem riders cannot exceed a combined 330 pounds on tandem kayaks.
Reservation & Parking Policy
Upon making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation email for your order. Please double-check your email address before submitting your booking.
If you have purchased a parking pass for a weekend booking, you are required to enter your license plate number so that we can validate your parking with Brunelle’s Marina. Brunelle’s Marina charges $20 for parking Friday-Sunday, in order to receive your $15 discount for parking you must add a parking pass to your reservation during checkout. Failure to add a parking pass will result in a full-price charge at the gate.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to ensure that we can check you in, verify waivers, go over the rules, and get you started on time.
YOU MUST HAVE YOUR WAIVERS COMPLETED IN ADVANCE, OTHERWISE YOUR START TIME MAY BE DELAYED.
Ticket reservations are charged the full price upon booking. Enter your discount codes at the time of checkout for any discounts that you wish to apply.
Due to high demand, we are on a strict schedule. We ask that everyone arrives 15 minutes early, so our employee can brief you on safety regulations, and how the equipment works to have you on the water at your starting time.
Unfortunately, if you are late, you still will only have an hour from your scheduled start time. Example: If you booked 7am-8am and show up at 7:15am, you still will be required to have the equipment returned by 8am.
Please have the equipment returned by the end of your scheduled time. We are heavily booked and will have people waiting. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your return time, you will automatically be charged for an additional hour.
Please contact Paddle N’ Party staff immediately at (413) 427-0458 to notify them of any circumstances that will affect your return time.
- Cancellations made 24-hours in advance will get a full refund.
- Cancellations made in less than 24 hours are non refundable.
- Safety is our biggest priority, because of this Paddle N’ Party reserves the right to make cancellations at any time due to weather or river conditions. If your ride is cancelled due to these reasons, you will receive a free rebooking to a new day and time.
- Cancellations made due to safety violations or unsafe behavior on the water are non-refundable.
All participants in your party must complete a waiver. Waivers will be sent out with your confirmation email upon booking. Waivers for anyone under the age of 18 must be completed by a parent or legal guardian only.

If we have to cancel the tour based on weather conditions, you will receive a free rebooking for another date. Weather can be unpredictable, especially in New England! Weather conditions up North can also affect water levels and river currents which can make for unsafe conditions. Our goal is to keep all of our patrons safe at all times, we will not put anyone out on a river that is unsafe.
Weather/river related cancellations may not be made until right before your tour’s scheduled start time, we thank you in advance for your patience.
The Connecticut River is a beautiful and fun place for all to enjoy, and it is important that we maintain safety and respect at all times on the river. Inappropriate behavior by participants will result in immediate termination of your ride and will not receive a refund.
These behaviors include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Intoxication
- Not abiding by the rules of the waterways
- Exiting your vessel in open water
- Crossing the water and obstructing the path of other boaters and motorized vehicles
- Using vulgar language
- Any other inappropriate behavior or violation of local, state and federal laws
Remember—We want you to have a good time, but the rules are in place for the safety of you and everyone else on the river. Environmental Police regularly patrol the river and you may also incur an additional fine for unsafe behavior.
